have not been able to open the game in a few hours, anyone know what is going on?

I am getting an error message on Empathy too:

java.lang.NullPointerException (whatever that means).

I want to play go with anyone.

does anyone know what is wrong with empathy? can play my other games but

when I click on empathy, I get a page with some sort of error….

I don't know but I have a hunch. When the game ended yesterday and the program began to grade the answers, it crashed. It's possible the revised code had not been fully tested, or someone's answers “confused” it enough so that it was caught in an endless loop or something. If so, Richard will have to first figure out what happened, rewrite that portion of the code, and then recompile the program. (Again, this is just a guess.)

you'll see a list of all of the players who are in this game, and some (but obviously not all) of the answers that were given. Seeing this partial list of answers is why I believe the program crashed as it was executing its code to determine the standings.

Thanks, Ed. I can see that I will not be in the Top 10 from the responses listed. I hope that Richard does not have too much of a problem fixing the programming.
