did the blog part of the site disappear? Or am I just unable to find it? I aways thought it was a lot of fun to read about new games and thoughts, I miss it.

I’m not sure why Richard removed it from the menu in the first place. Maybe because it doesn’t add much if there’s a forum (not implying that that is the case, but it may be the argument).

Maybe, I just liked it a lot. You had those more ‘article style’ posts (for example you yourself was a frequent contributor and I always enjoyed reading it)

The thread that Omar started about my work, over at Arimaa, more or less turned into a blog, so I’m well accomodated in that sense. But I agree about the ‘article style’ posts, and a forum somehow seems less inviting to that kind of contribution. Maybe that’s the very reason Richard removed it ;-) .

You might not be sure why Richard removed it, but I’m not sure why Richard added it in the first place! For site announcements, then a news section might make some sense, but if you’re expecting people to engage in discussion, then the forum is as good a place as any. Blogs are so 200x.

yeah, but it has the effect that we have seen a lot fewer ‘article style’ posts since it was removed. Which in my oppinion is a shame.
