in case anyone here wants another place to play dots an boxes, this new website was just announced today via a message I received from chess.com.  I did a quick look at their games and saw dots and boxes is one game they offer.

Interesting, it's a version where some boxes have values other than 1, values from -4 to 4 (at least I haven't seen any other values in the 4 games I played). It reminds me of misere Dots and Boxes as you can just build dominos around the negative boxes which your opponent won't take; that worked in misere too.
