Check round 3, moves 26 to 37 in this game: http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/game/game.jsp?gid=1673097&nmove=26
From one corner to the other, with six 1s in a row, the lucky Blue got the last round.
Skipping the corner – to connect this with another topic – as that would need eight 1s.
There is a shorter path through the diagonal which is also 36 times more probable than your detour ;)More seriously, why prefer taking the 5 on 1st move instead of the 3 (I tend to favour taking 3 and 4).
Thanks for sharing, yper.
That is the wood from which master dice are made!
I prefer taking the 2 and 5 on the first. There is a slight difference in the possibilities afterwards, But I don’t remember it, and have no time at this moment to redo the math :-)
And to pick at another nit. When you use the corner square, it is only 7 moves, not 8.
