Is it possible to have the handicap stones set by the server or must White pass so Black can set the stones? This would be for a non-tournament game.

My experience with tournaments *never did a non-tournament game here) is that the server sets the stones.

Yes, in tournament games, the handicap stones are set, however, if I wish to invite someone to a handicap game, then Black must set the stones and White passes. Another problem in the above method is that the komi is wrong as the default is 6.5. I have found no way in which to change this. Anyone found a solution?

It would be _nice_ although maybe not easy if (maybe all)games could be 'set up' before play.

So you could have a game in the waiting room and maybe even set:

Komi,

Handicap (and whether stones could be placed or not),

Board size (any, also nice for Hex,Twixt,Reversi etc.)

Time for moves etc…

Perhaps this would be very time consuming to set up, perhaps it wouldn't be used much? I like playing around with games (such as playing go on a Hex board etc.) and maybe it's just me…
