http://empathyweb.appspot.com/ - I remade this to test Google’s Appengine, if anyone remember, though very different from the old Empathy Web and I know it kinda sucks at the moment, feels less like a “game”. I have some ideas to make it more challenging / like a game...

Suggestions are welcome for how to make it appealing to a larger audience. I don’t think it’s very fun as it is, because there have only really been some 25 unique people...
One thought I had:
"An empty page except for the big textbox, the name of the node, and basic instructions. You enter three associations and then they’re checked against some criteria, like being in the top N or at least M% having picked them, etc. Those who pass go green, those who do not go red. If all three turn green there’s a little +1 animation and your “score” goes up. The page refreshes automatically with another random node. Everything should be intuitive. No numbers, no tables, no navigation necessary, no bullshit."

Keep the numbers and the tables somewhere, some people find them fun.(me)
I agree it would be more fune with a score. Maybe something like “Family Feud”? Finding most popular answers should be rewarded. Also, obscure links should be rewarded somehow.
