Reply to this topic Return to forumI remember that 3-5 years ago we had this word game where people would write poetry with 5 iambic pentameter, followed by 7, then 5 again (3 lines in all). I can not recall the actual name of the game, but i am certain that old players do remember it. It was a very interesting game, and i wish to play it if we have enough players opting for it. If we mange to get that game started, I would appreciate if someone can put the rules for new players. Thanks.
Are you sure it was iambic pentamer? It sounds like the Japanese form haiku, which comprises three lines of (successively) 5, 7 and 5 syllables.
Yes, that was it! I just recall it as being iambic pentameter because of word stress in that game. So what you say? Want to play Haiku again?
I didn't play it last time, but sure, why not. What are the rules exactly? Does each player contribute one line?
