In the recently started chamionship, out of the 8 games I play and in the starting position:

2 games with no star (the special character),

5 games with a star and

1 game with 2 stars.

Total of 7 stars to start with! Has it happened before? What's the record?

Which games are you referring to? I checked all your games in gwg.ch.10.2.1, and I count 2 starts in all of them.

Yes, I'm refering to 10.2.1. There are stars in all games except the ones against Jordi and Lieven Marchand. Check for example the game against Oakheart where there are 2 stars.

I don't understand why the komi was set to 17.5

I don't find any real good word to compensate this 54 points word :( am I missing something?

there are two stars in the bag, the first one as the 29th tile in the bag, the second as the 53th tile the bag.

My phrasing may not be precise. With “star”, I meant the *, also known as wild card. And how many there are at the board when the game starts, not at the bug. There are 25 positions at the board and always 75 letters-wild cards at the bug at the beginning.
