Reply to this topic Return to forumHi Gang,
A gentleman over at the talkchess forum
(http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44913)
is looking for a database of computer othello/reversi games.
Can anyone help him out here? Is such a database available of games here? Or can one be made available for him?
He says that any format is okay… so I assume he will be able to parse the data no matter what format they are in.
I directed him to this site, and suggested he ask his question here, (because us Golem players are knowledgeable and helpful… smile) but he is unable to post here. Something about not being trustworthy enough.
He can read posts, I assume, so you can respond here and he will see it, or I can simply forward the responses to him, via the talkchess forum.
Thanks in advance.
Not sure, it's been a long time, but I think in the GGS there were computer tournaments, he may find something.
Another option, I don't know if the Wthor database differentiates between human and computer players.

The page says: “GGS hosts the world's best Othello programs”, so if the site is active and he is lucky enough, he may find someone who knows something more.
Top programs (such as WZebra) contain databases of games, many of which are computer generated, but I don't know anything about extracting them for closer examination.

Icare othello endgame program, has a database of games, and the database format is quite straitforward.
