Reply to this topic Return to forumSince anti-reversi can already be played at other turn-based sites, (Its Your Turn, to name one) I'm hoping it won't be implemented any time soon.
There are literally hundreds and hundreds of abstract games that exist that aren't available online anywhere yet. I would much rather see these types of games implemented first, before we start implmenting games that are currently already available elsewhere.
The good thing about anti-reversi is that it wouldn't require much time for Richard to implement, since the game is fully the same as 'normal' reversi except for the interpretation of the score at the end of the game…

So you are unhappy with Richard's choice to implementat Go, chess, reversi, four in a row, etc, here? A mix between well known (popular) games and new, not widely known games is best, I think.
And I would welcome all reversi variants here! :-)
No, I wouldn't say that I'm “unhappy.” That wouldn't be quite accurate.
If it is very easy and quick to implement something like anti-reversi, because of the reason mentioned earlier, then sure, let's implement this game if many people want it. However, I wouldn't want Richard to spend weeks and weeks and weeks implementing a game that already exists on other servers. I would think that time would be better spent on other games that do not exist elsewhere.
So, Ed, you'll be voting for Gipf Zertz and tamsk soon? These games are not widely implemented yet…:)
that would be great. I am still searching a site where i can play those games :(
