Reply to this topic Return to forumLG isn't returning correct HSGF for some games, which makes the link to trmph.com not work as desired (trmph gives a “Failed to load the game” message). Some games still work but others don't–e.g. http://www.trmph.com/hex/game/lg-1639555 fails to load the game. http://littlegolem.net/servlet/sgf/1639555/game1639555.txt doesn't return HSGF as it should, but rather a string of decimal digits (giving the number of milliseconds since January 1, 1970). This has been intermittent but it's failing now as I write this.
The last 2 days I had a lot of trouble visiting LG. I was wondering if there was server trouble or some hackers attack?
Today it seems ok again.
The HSGF problem persists. I created a bug report; see https://bitbucket.org/rmalaschitz/littlegolem/issues/49/hsgf-generation-failure
I've set up a web service that can be used as a workaround. The page at http://minortriad.com/lg2trmph.html accepts an LG Hex game number (e.g., 1639555) and returns a link to a trmph.com URL that explicitly encodes the game's moves. Reviewing a game via trmph.com has a few advantages over stepping through the moves on LG: the trmph.com page doesn't continue to request web pages for each move you look at (thus putting less burden on LG's server), and it allows trying out moves beyond the current state of the game.
