Reply to this topic Return to forumI want to say to my opponent, after a game on this site, something like “look -- if you'd played 34 c6 then the game might have gone this way [10 more moves] and then maybe things would have turned out differently”. Instead of typing in the 10 more moves I’d like to just type them into trmph. But if I do this then the URL at trmph is still
http://www.trmph.com/hex/game/lg-<game number>
And if I use the image URL then my opponent can’t play through the line themself.
The only way I know how to pass my opponent a link to a variation of the game is either to play through the game myself from the beginning on trmph, or to take the image URL and explicitly edit it (basically changing diagram/1,hex to hex/board# near the beginning). Am I missing something?
I don’t think you miss anything, except I would use the “share image html”-button instead of the one that says image url, because you can just copy the right part without editing anything. I have also find this very annoying when I analysed dots and boxes games where it’s even worse since there is no button for image html/url.
