Gomoku is not played seriously, because all strong gomoku players are playing renju. Maybe there are some study materials: http://www.renjuclass.com/

To Richard: i think go-moku is balanced if you use swap. Renju is a beutiful game, but you must learn a lot of theory (opening). Like chess…there are a lot of chess player who win only because they know theory. I like go-moku because you must think with your mind only.
