Despite its simplicity, Hex is a profound game. Unlike backgammon, chess and checkers (and Jeopardy!), Hex remains, along with D&B and Go, one of the games where the best human players can still defeat the best computer programs.
Not quite a game site, but also fun, for programmers at least, is Project Euler
Braggadocio: I won the September 2008 Hex 19 monthly cup, the February 2010 Hex 19 monthly cup and, with Mirko Rahn and Piotr Karas, the April 2010 Hex 19 monthly cup.
I finished second in the first WYPS ascending linear championship, wyps.cv.ascendingl.2.1.1, first in wyps.cv.ascendingl.3.1.1 and first in wyps.cv.nb.9.1.1. In wyps.cv.nb.8.1.1 and wyps.cv.nb.10.1.1, I was the only player to win against the champion.
As of 2012-09-28, I’m in championship levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. (Although WYPS numeric level 1 doesn’t show in the table below.)
Personal best ratings (Those were the days, my friend):
2054 in Hex (2011-04-20)
1957 in Hex 19 (2010-10-13)
1949 in StreetSoccer (2011-02-11)
1890 in WYPS numeric (2013-01-04)
