Hi, i'm new to this nice game!

I was curious whether stats are available for this one, especially what's the 1P/2P win ratio  (on hex5).

Before the 2015 rule change, consensus was a VERY slight p2 advantage.

I'd like to see the data as well, especially in big tournaments.

Now you have me curious. What were the rules like before the change?

Before this change, your biggest chain had to become bigger than the opponents bigger chain, so that he got to play three pawns.

Back when the iOS app was being built, the AI designer ran the AI against itself at long think times to assess this question. As I recall, there was something like 1/100th of a percentile difference between the win rates of the two sides. Not surprising, given the game' is built around 2 different balancing mechanisms (the 12* turn rule and the catchup rule)

That was before the aforementioned rule change, but I would expect the same results either way.
