yoda never responded to my messages and invitations nad I considered the game lost for him. Probably he should be considered as he abandoned the tournament.

As soon as beppi.it and Roel tell us what happened with their game (forgive me if you've already have told me and I forgot) and everyone is ready we can make pairings for the next (4th) round.

It has been so long ago, that I do not remember which game was for the big challenge.

It is an unrated game. You don't have too many of those… Should be easy to find.

But I somehow think the game hasn't been played.

klaashaw is probaly, right. the game was never played. But that shouldn't stop us. They can still play it while the 4th round starts too.

So, my proposal is this: Everyone replies here (or with aprivate message to me) and when I get all the replies I'll post the new pairings. Meanwhile beppi and Roel start their game (unless they dig their documents and find that they played it face to face).

jeroen de wael says he's ready now, so the pairings are adjusted. We'll hopefully have no bye's in this round.

Sorry to all for being so late in posting again. Too much work the previous Friday at the office, not able to make pairings I was. The weekend to a new house I moved and no Internet access I had (and not have still). Monday holiday in Greece was. And finally returning to office, Internet was gone for 2 days! A techniciam from the greek phone company connected some new phone lines - and by the way - disconnected one wire! Happily today it was noticed and Internet is restored again while I'm still affected by the withdrawal syndrome.

Since beppi.it (the unofficial organozer) is yet to respond, here are my suggestions-decisions:

Jan de Graaf and Nicky declared they are out of the tournament. yoda too is out because noone has had any news (or moves) from him. (perhaps he's fighting some Slith Lord).

The rest who didn't respond e.g. Bas, Arnoud, beppi.it, dodo and Gianluca Severino should be considered in. Beppi did start the game (of the 3rd round) agains Roel so he's most surely in.

Jeroen is back in again as he requested (and the only harm this might do is to the greek team).

Sorry to Gaelic Wolf but coming in at the 4th round doesn't sound fair for the other teams to me.

The pairings of the 4th round are posted in a new thread according to the above.

The standings at the tournament after round 3 are:

ITALY- 16 (=6+6+4)

NEDERLAND- 12 (=4+4+4)

WORLD- 10 (=4+4+2)

GREECE- 4 (=2+2+0)

Nederland was at 14 but Jan C. de Graaf unforunately withdrew himself from the rest of the tounament while having 6 points. Nicky fom the Netherlands withdrew also while having 4 valuable points. This gives the World team the chance to fight for the 2nd place (and perhaps the 1st?). Nothing is decided yet and that's for sure.
