Othello players,

The fifth tourney in the Dutch WOC-qualification of 2005 will be held May 1st 2005, one day after the national celebration of our queens birthday in restaurant Valdin in Nijmegen, the oldest city of the Netherlands celebrating its 2000th birthday this year.

Anyone from any country is more than welcome and we hope this tournament to be as successfull as many previous tournaments. The first round will start at 10:30 latest, sign-up closes at 10:25. The room will be open at 9:30. If you want to come but find it difficult to arrive in time please give us a call at 06-28545467 before 10:25. We'll sign you up, so that you'll be inserted in the first round anyway.

The entree fee is: €5,– for beginners, students and youngsters and €10,– for all others. As usual 7 rounds are played, with 25 minutes of playing time per person. A modified Swiss system is used, so that everyone plays all 7 rounds. No-one is eliminated during the tournament. Every round you will face a suitable opponent.

There are nice trophies for the top players and for the best beginners.

We call it “koninginnedag”.

In 2006 30 April is a Sunday, so the festivities move to 29 April 2006

to allow for Sunday rest.
