Handicap games

I haven't seen a way to start handicap games. For Go, at least, handicaps are a time-honored way to allow two players of differing ranks to play a competitive game. This might make it easier to find matches in the waiting room. Rating tournaments might also include some handicap games. By including one player that is a few stones lower or higher, some tournaments could get going sooner. This approach could be considered in situations in which three players (or maybe even two) have been waiting for some period of time (maybe a week) without being able to get started. In an unrated game, of course, two players could probably arrange a handicap game, if White is willing to pass a few times in the beginning. This could even be done quickly, if a player could submit lists of predicted moves, instead of just a single move. An explicit handicap feature would be better.

I think it is even possible to rate games, with handicap, by inserting the handicap in the formula. Anyway, I think Ryo has this in his list of 'to do' things.
