I was looking at the position in which game-a-holic scored quick for 108 points. In the same position, he could have scored a little more using 'quicken' for 126 points.
Given the position, Ed Collin's score for twinkle looked like real inspiration.
In game-a-holic's defense, I suspect when we see a huge score (like I'll ever see one that big), we tend to stop looking.
I'm looking forward to these records being broken! :-)
It is already twice been stated in the forums that highest score could have been 144. Quicken*d. I guess you made the same mistake as game-a-holic:)
And as I said in a previous post: game-a-holic was practically given that score. Opening up for many coloured tiles in the ending is giving away the game. Twinkle was found on a full board where itis MUCH harder to reach more than one colored tile.
