I (like most of us) play in more than one type of game. I also finish all games atleast once in the evening, but I like to play for ten minutes or so a number of times during the day. I find myself trying to find games of the same type to play in one sitting so I have to hit "Your Game" and scan the list for say GoMoku games.
What if the "Your Game" List could be sorted by player (Find Your Favorite Players first), or type of game. The default would always be by time and the secondary sort for the suggested sorts would also be time. The "send" game feature would then move down the new list of games like it does now except all games would be grouped.
I like the idea! It's optional, so I cannot think of any disadvantages, except that it might make the site too complicated for first-time users. I think games that are 24h or less away from timing out (or using vacationdays, if there are any) should be put first no matter how the sort order is set.
I agree with the idea that games that will cause vacation within 24 hours must be at the top. .... If the sort is only available by selecting the column heading a new player would probably not notice it until they too start playing alot of games. This site has so many links depending on what page you are on a new player is not going to notice a couple more. Please don't read the above statement wrong, I think all the links are useful.
Suggestion: under button "Send move" will be combo-box: "Next game: [1] according to time [2] the same game typ [3] the same oponent" If you check it, it will be checked for whole session.
Alternative you could let the player decide how games are ordered (both to next game, as in the game list). Could the new send buttons include 'send and go to game list' and 'send and go to messages'?
