I think Twitter (as well as Facebook) are pubescent toys. But I understand I'm pretty alone with that opinion.

Kinda like calling the telephone a bicycle a yuppie fitness status symbol. Some use it that way, others use it to get to work.

I'll save the discussion on the evolving method of interpersonal communication, and learning not to hold the first shaky steps against a genuine change in communication... and just say that I'm in favor of it.

I keep a basic twitter for news-type info (and also Conan O'Brien's feed, which is fairly amusing), and this would work well for that. It'd also be a keen little repository for tourney winners and limited big news items (you can view http://www.twitter.com/littlegolem without having to subscribe to the service). And as people re-tweet their victories and advancements, could be a nice bit of free advertisement.

Ugh shame on me for using the same multi-syllabic word in the same sentence. That was a quick edit of what I said I wasn't going to say. :)
