I still believe in the yankees. if they coukd only adjust their pitching there is no way the rangers can win this series... even when they are 3-2

in the national I want the giants to win

so the ideal mlb championship is between the yankees vs rangers.

yankees will be champs!

I meant say, yankees vs giants. the rangers will be left in the field with all those texans... that's their punishment

It will be a good feat if the Yanks can come back. They were down 3-1 now it is 3-2, but they need to win the next two away from home, and if they can win game 6, they will have to face Cliff Lee in game 7, so the odds seem to favour the Rangers. But you never know! I too like like the Giants, I think the Giants can win it all this year. I love to watch Lincecum pitch! What a wild kid! Reminds me of a kid in "Dazed and Confused" with his long straight hair!

I think Stybar is doing the same as Albert last year... on his top to early in the season. I wonder if he will be able to prolong his title in the end.

condolences to you pitirre and to the Yankees.

Congrats to the Texas Rangers for winning the ALCS for the first time in their franchise history!!

Colby Lewis shut down the Yankees tonight allowing only one run on 3 hits, dominating! The Rangers win game 6 by the score 6-1 they will play in the World Series against the winner of the San Francisco Giants vs. Philadelphia Phillies. The Giants lead that best of 7 match 3-2.

the rangers wanted to win... I said it... BUT... I believe the real loser here was joe girardi. I think he was terrible. the only reason he won last year was because the yankees were a complete team.

girardi shouldnt manage the yankees and someone has to kick aj burnett out of team very hard. I never liked him; too inconsistent.

by the way those commentators of TBS stink! since the play offs they couldn't resist talking trash of the yankees. I know many people hate this baseball club but at least one expect a bit of objetivity while narrating the games. I had to turn off the volume!

well... I feel better.... next year it is.

Girardi's biggest blunder was wasting Pettite in Game 3 vs Lee instead of using him in Game 2 which could have produced a different outcome. That said, the Rangers' pitchers really dominated this series. The problem is that Yankees are stuck with too many big contracts and too many aging players. Unless they can sign Lee in the offseason, I don't think they will make it back to the World Series for quite a few years.

girardi; definetly OUT. he dosnt manage well and i have a believe he doesnt know how to implement discipline. i mean, how come he gets aj burnett dictate which one he wants to pitch. i know posada isnt the catcher of yesteryears BUT he is better than cervelli and he is crucial in batting BUT aj got posada kick out of a game because he doesnt pitch to posada. come on, what is that?? if i was girardi i said to aj; "look, you lil fuck. you are not the manager here and you get paid a lot of millions to do your job. if i want you to pitch to mickey mouse...you do it"-

aj burnett; they should kick him out. too undiscipline and too wild (doesnt have control).

posada; age betray him and a lot of injuries. i know he is a puertorican but he has to go.

vazquez; another puertorican that has to go. he and burnett ruined a lot of games for the yankees.

petite; mmmmm, i dont know... but he has too go.

cervelli; i dont remember him taking someone out stealing the second and he commits a lot of silly errors behind the plate. he can bat but the yankees need a catcher. or cervelli practice a lot this winter (baseball season here in the caribbean started) or he goes.

jeter; everyone is on his back... but i think he got 2 years left to play.

mariano; stay

the future of the yankees is on gardner, granderson, swisher and teixeira. my favourite is gardner; he is exciting when he plays.

You don't like Cano? He may surpass Lazzeri, Gordon and Randolph in Yankee history.

yes, I forgot cano.he will be the dominating yankee.

I think you're mostly right, but very wrong about Pettitte. A pitcher could collapse at any time, but I don't see any signs that Pettitte will do so. He may or may not be good for 32 starts next year, but even if he only pitches 20 as well as he did this year, he's a keeper with room to spare.

Jeter is likely done as an above average player. It would be sad to see him go, but I don't think they Yankees should sign him for anything near the money he probably expects. If he wants to pile up career numbers while being an adequate but sub-par performer, Yankee Stadium is not the place to do that. He should play for a team that needs to get fans by having big names, rather than by winning.

Posada may or may not be done as an above average player, but he's already under contract for next year and he won't be terrible. He might even be an all-star again. Unless some other team wants to pay his salary and also give the Yankees a decent prospect in a trade (not likely) it makes sense to give him one more year.

Oh, and assuming they do keep Posada and put off until 2012 getting a new starting catcher, they may as well hold on to Cervelli as the backup unless they get value for him in a trade. Given another year in that role, he might even develop into the player the Yankees should want to succeed Posada, but I doubt it.

agree, the only way to keep cervelli is as a backup

for today's game, giants vs phillies.., I see giants win 3-1

it will be very sad, for me, to see a championship series played by phillies and rangers. no tiene gusto.

watching the giants and rangers game. 2nd inning. what a retarded game! the giants are playing like morons.

that's what happens when you smoke too much weed

Hmmm, Giants are playing very well suddenly. Lincecum bats twice in the fifth inning! Giants chase Cliff Lee, amazing. San Fran is up 8-2. Sanchez is the first player in World Series History to hit three doubles in his first three World Series at bats.

#18 · pitirre

28 Oct 2010

yes, they turned around..

29 Oct 2010

Giants win game 2 9-0 !! The eighth inning was ugly....with 2 outs the Rangers walked the bases loaded then walked in two runs then gave up a single a triple and a double. So 9 runs on only 8 hits! Giants lead 2-0...

#21 · pitirre

yes, congrats to the giants. the rangers doesnt have any mystique to win something like this. let texas have their dallas cowboys, their guns, their death penalty and their conservative values.

felicidades a los gigantes!!
