Hello,
this is admin of the new server. I sincerely apologize for the problems you have encountered in last couple of days. We have installed new version of Apache/Tomcat and apprarently that was not a good idea. I have downgraded the software back to older versions (not all of the software yet! ;-). If you spot any further problems please post your opinions here or write directly to Richard.
Best regards,
David

The links seem to work just fine, but the games have extra graphics. Needs a page refresh to get rid of them. For example the Go games show little suns on the first left line and white stones on the bottom line. And from time to time a little man on the handicap points :-)

Now that i've connected without proxy, the extra graphics have disapeared (same IE6).

I will occasionally restart various parts of the system. So if you get some errors or the whole server seems not working please try again in couple of minutes. If the problem persists (for an hour or so) please report the issue (here or to Richard). Apologies again but we are still trying to figure out what part of the system caused the strange behaviour.

I notice one of my opponents, who has accented vowels in his name, shows a couple of ? symbols in his name instead. Player 1713 might have done that on purpose, but I doubt it...

I have setup the time so please don't report strange times!

My chess game 9153 is a draw but it is at the same still in "progress"??? and counting down my time. What do I do?

Just a guess, but black clicked draw do you need to do the same?

The problem is that I offered a draw after my 38th move and black accepted and did not move. Now, my time is counting down and I'm still able to do a move (that would be two moves in a row for white, and chess mate???). I can not see any way to accept the draw (and I shouldn't since it was I who offered it in first place). I still do not know what to do?

solutions says: "I have set up the time" What does that mean? Every day that passes since the restrictions have been lifted, the clock issue becomes messier and messier. I have several opponents with negative time on their clocks. What is going to be done about it? I know you have a lot to do; I just want to know what the plan is. Will everyone's clock be reset to 240? If so, when? If not, why not, and what will be done instead?

Sorry to be so brief. The site littlegolem.net was moved to a completely new server (both HW/SW). After the installation the time (in the OS) was not adjusted correctly. So I have changed the time on the server after I noticed it was wrong. And that shift caused problems in the application (negative times here and there). But I am not able to fix those problems - that has to wait for webmaster@littlegolem.net (Richard). I hope he will be able to make changes in the databese to adapt to the (hopefully) correct time.

Okay, thanks for the info. But the shift in time is not why some of my opponents have negative times. The restriction on moves, which lasted over a week, is why. I have opponents with -143, -181, and -269 hours on their clocks. That didn't happen all of a sudden; they've been getting worse and worse over the past week. I will send Richard an email. Thanks for all your help!

I'm still getting bad graphics in my go games at first pageload. I need to reload everytime to get correct board.

Well hopefully once they do get around to fixing all the time issues, they will just move everyone's game to 240 hours. -------------------- As it is now, people with -37+ hours, if they play, then the other person plays, the game will go back to them with 36 hours added to it - still keeping them in negative time. So it would be very hard for the negate 100+ people to get out of the hole unless everyone is moved to 240 hours. ---------------------------------------- Other then this issue, everything else is working great! GOOD JOB on getting this site back up and working!! ++++++BBW

I've got a game (Championship) that is at -240 now! I don't thik its fair to put it up to 240. It should have timed out a long time ago in normal mode (including vacations!). I've got another one with more then -200. But that is not a CS game so it's more understandable. That can be restored to 240 along with the others. Another solution would be to add 240 to all games!

I suggest that time is added to every game. Calculate number of hours from restrictions where introduced until time is added and add that number of hours to every game, but never so that a game will have more than 240 h. This way games that should have timed out anyhow will timeout soon.

Well what ever they decided to do, hopefully they give everyone enough time to play their games without getting too far behind - and hopefully not time out. I much rather play and win, and not win by a time out. (since a couple of my games - the opponents are getting close to negative 200 hours) ++++++BBW
