only 15 hours pass between chamionship #1 and championship #2

I may be repeating myself, but I wanted to bring this interesting anomaly to the forefront...

Two days ago, March 30, I received a "new message" that my mini shogi championship section had ended. (I was in the top division of the premier event and finished fourth).

Since my section was the last to finish in the first little golem mini shogi championship, I decided to post this fact in the "upcoming championships current state" forum thread. I did exactly this about three hours after the last game ended.

My thought at the time was, "my post now, will give all interested players one week to register"

Suddenly, the next morning when I woke up, I was extremely surprised to discover that the new mini shogi championship had started! Only about 15 hours after the first tournament was completed.

My question is, "why did this happen?"

(I always thought that one week was to pass in-between championships. )

Any thoughts?

note the date of the message announcing the end of championship 1 and the start date of championship 2, the very next calendar day....

it could be connected to the timer demon being kind of sick lately. Maybe the previous tournament had already ended earlier, and the demon just did not notice and mail you about it in time.

But that would explain only one or two days, not seven.

No, the game finished with a checkmate (or whatever you call it in shogi) at the time Ray said.
