I can't invite a player to my United States Havannah team. Any ideas?

I'm trying to invite z but the software won't seem to let me.

When I enter his name in the box, and then click SEND INVITATION, the box turns into a drop down box and I see this as the first name:

.#321;ukasz

That name appears five times in the drop down box. A few other names are:

.24 Isabel Marquez

.8david diaz

.9Pablo Estevez

.zuma

abcajedrez

etc.

Each name has the letter z in in it, but I don't see z's name. (If it appeared in this box, his name would be WAY down the list... there are only about 50 or so names, and the last name is Amcmprgc.)

I can filter the drop down box. For example, if I enter zab, I see all names that have the letters zab in their name. For example, Bartosz Zaborowski, jirazabel, zablot, etc.

But z's handle is so short there seems to be no way to filter it. z with a space at the end, and a space before, didn't work.

Any ideas? Richard? A bug?

Did you get an invitation from me?

If so, there's an easy solution. If not, then I apologise to the random people I've just invited to my team.

Will spill the beans once the pudding has been proved.

Yes, I received your invite. Ah, now I see it was just a "test" invite.

What did you do?

Every player has at the bottom of their profile "Send invitation" and "send message". However, currently, you can not send team invitations this way (I don't think?). That would be a nice feature and make it easier for such problems as Ed has outlined.

@ Ed, have you tried sending the invitation to #15076 (that is z's player #)?

Yup, that was the technique I used - I just used the numeric id.

Got it. Thanks. That seemed to work... an invite went out and I'm assuming it was sent to z. Good work.

Yes it did, and he has already joined the team! Now we need more teams to battle with!

Yay! Thanks for the help, Phil.

When I created our Havannah team, the process allowed me to include an optional website link.

I did so... http://www.edcollins.com/hawks.htm

However, I don't see this URL available anywhere for other to see, other than for me, as team manager.
