I should learn how to do that. I've always wanted a different look to the Amazons board. A long time ago I posted this link, to give a few examples of what I wanted:

The original board is shown, and three variations. Note the squares on the new boards alternate in color, like a chess board. This helps make it easier for me to see the diagonals. Also, the markers have a little bit of depth to them, and the color combination of all three is easier on my eyes than the default board. Finally, the white queens have a little bit more white in them.
