Doctoral Project: New 3-Hirn grant

Hello to all,

in my group at Jena University a new

doctoral position is available. I am looking

for someone to do research in algorithm analysis

and design in the field of game programming.

Details can be found here (English version):

3-Hirn Grant 2011,

and here (German version):

3-Hirn-Stipendium 2011.

Prof. Dr. Ingo Althoefer.

15 years ago I would have been tempted. Still you would have found better candidates than me!

Finally things have been decided:

Amongst several strong applicants, Wesley Turner

from the United States was selected for the 3-Hirn grant.

He accepted and will start his doctoral project in my group

at Jena University in January 2012.

Ingo.

PS. On LittleGolem, Wesley is active, too. He is the designer

of Ewn bot Sybil_c. Sybil got the silver medal in the

Computer Olympiad in Tilburg.

Congratulation to Wesley.

And thanks to Ingo for posting, it is nice to be able to follow such things from here :)

Wesley Turner, the new recipient of a 3-Hirn grant,

is in Jena now. You can see him (and other members of

my group) in a picture:
