First of all, whoever thought of the post is brilliant. Yes, just hours after Arizona Senator John McCain hinted that some of the latest Arizona wildfires were caused by illegal immigrants, a fake Internet blog post had McCain demanding that Dallas Mavericks NBA star José Juan Barea prove that he was indeed a US citizen.
Only problem, the story is fake, appearing in some unverifiable sites that just seemed to pick up the story as is, which is even more brilliant. And here it is:
After fanning a virtual wildfire on Saturday with his comments on actual wildfires – “there is substantial evidence that some of these fires are caused by people who have crossed our border illegally,†Arizona Senator John McCain again made headlines today with some “heated†statements regarding the NBA’s Miami basketball franchise. Providing no evidence or reason whatsoever to back up his claims, McCain stated that illegal immigrants are “distracting us all†from doing our jobs as Americans.
“The elimination of Lebron James and the Miami heat from the NBA playoffs last week is yet another chilling example of illegals crossing our borders, snatching our health care, and eliminating our beloved sports teams from title contention. When will the madness end? And at what cost?â€
McCain continued, “If you want me to believe that J.J. Barea is a citizen of this fine country, have him send some proof to my office. You don’t learn to speak Spanish that effectively in our school systems. That I guarantee.â€
José Juan “J.J.†Barea, the feisty, Puerto Rican-born backup point guard for the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, played an integral role in penetrating the outmatched Heat’s interior defense. When asked to comment about McCain’s rant, Barea quipped, “You know, I would have thought he was a Mavericks fan.â€

They wanted Obama to prove with documents that he is an American citizen. It sounds like McCain wants Barea to prove he is an American citizen with authentic documents. Maybe Donald Trump can help McCain to prove that J.J. Barea is not an American because he speaks perfect Spanish..however McCain did nor born in the U.S.A .., but in the canal zone panama. A truth that politicians do not think before you speak, John McCain should go take a history class to Know that Puerto Rico is U.S. territory.

This will start the ball rolling and get Wall Street's attention. Taking the long historical view, We The Taino Americana Indians may say that modern 51st Star* is an America seed in transition. We the people are aware that, that we know what it was and what it is, but we can't yet know what it will be. What is the optimal structure of Americana BORINQUEN society?...but even our ancestry can be traced back to the aboriginal native north americans(Taino-DNA)You are getting your causality screwed up. You said: American citizen here in Puerto Rico, U S of A don't have a right to equal access to resources. Then you said: That's why cavemen fought over women, water sources, and fertile ground for game & growth. That is a non-sequitor argument. Whether or not cavemen fight over something has no bearing on whether or not someone has a right. YOU as a being in this universe, have a right to have and experience anything and everything in this universe fill with stars.

first of all, that statement from mccain was a fraud. he denied saying that...
but anyway, the truth is that the united-statians (i cant sy americans beacuse from argentina to canada we are all americans) view the puerto ricans as none citizens from the united states. even george bus jr called us (puerto ricans) as "our neighbor from the south".
im puerto rican and i dont feel offended that the united states see us as puerto ricans and not like them because we are. i know that there are many here in puerto rico that are ashamed of being puerto ricans and want to be an united statian. im puerto rican and i want puerto rico to be puerto rican and NOT something we are NOT.
any puerto rican that dont feel like a puerto rican they have 50 states to choose from... and they can live the "american dream".

... Why is it for a united statian easier to live the american dream than for a european?
The american dream is about a nobody having nothing becoming a rich person.
The social security (partly due to the badtimed dead of the latest Kennedy) in the usa is not securing people from getting in poverty. Therefor there are a lot of people having really nothing in the states... so a lot of people able to life the american dream... in Europe most people don't start with nothing.
