Wait until the Slither championship starts, then open registration for Slither on the following 1st of the month.

Slither championship began Dec. 1.....Marley, you missed it?

D'oh! I see the Slither championship escaped my notice. Call me Sherlock.
Since stage 9 is already committed to Hex19, I vote for 10.

I don't see any reason to postpone further than 10 anyway. So I will vote 10 if a second vote is needed.

OK, so it seems many are very anxious about having Slither as early as possible in the tour. Why is that? I guess I missed something... Is it because Slither is such a great game, or is it because a game of slither takes very long time to play, or...?? Could someone please help me to understand why it is so critical to play slither as soon as possible?

I'm not taking part in the tour, but Slither is simple, rather intruiging and not easily mastered. Zugzwang is in the 1800 rating now so he obviously has a more than average understanding of it. I'm definitely wrestling with its capricious tactics, but in the full awareness that my strategic thinking must be deplorable. In other words, I'm a slow learner, but I definitely can understand why players would want it in the tour sooner rather than later.

Ricardo,
My opinion is not about slither but about the tour. We want a tour where all available games are played. hex19 is already scored in the tour and it should be the first to get new results (as the oldest with current results, so to say) but Slither is not scored yet so should have priority in my opinion. you started the hex19 stage 9 and it is probably best to keep it that way, but Slither should be next up, without any doubt.
By the way... the 'cycles' of the tour, are not different competitions, or intended that way. The score of hex19 in first cycle stands as long it is not refreshed by the new score.

Well, then I guess I'm of another opinion: Hjallti I agree with you when it comes to the 'cycles' of the tour and that it is not different competitions. It is like the atp world tennis tour, only difference is that there they try to fit every tournament into a yearly cycle, our cycle is longer... Therefore, just like in Tennis, I think it is wise to consider the timing (stage number)of new games. You wouldn't for exampl run all 4 Major/Slam tournaments in the same month, they are spread out with smaller tournaments in between. Let's say a new game would be introduced here again, but with three different variants, I wouldn't thinkit is nice to have all three variants in a row, but rather spread out over the tour. Go19, Go 13 and Go9 for example shouldn't be grouped together... If we take a Tour de France or similar, I again think it is nice, if you don't have to have 100 km uphill and then 100 km downhill, but that it is mixed... Long games mixed with shorter games for example, not Go19 together with other long lasting games... I maybe still missed something. OK, I can see the point that you want to have a new game in as soon as possible since it has never been played before, but still, isn't the overall rythm also to be considered?

To comment the above discussion: I like to include new games as soon as possible because it is exciting when new games are introduced and I want to test my strength and improve in them. It seems reasonable to include them after a few weeks of their introduction to LG, which gives some time to practice the game before the tour.
As for the cycles. I consider each cycle an independent competition. In the first cycle I participated in all games (ok, I missed one), but in the second I participate only in my favourite games and when I feel I have the time. Therefore, I am of course interested to keep the first cycle as a separate scoring. This is also how scores are presented at the moment. A total, cycle 1 and cycle 2. I like that!

Looks like 10 wins. So be it!
