Do games time out?

In one of my games (Game #984), I have been watching the "Time" for the past few days. A couple of days ago, it was down to 24 hours, then the next morning it was up to 26 hours. It got down to at least 23 hours, and now I'm looking at it again and it is at 37 hours.

Am I just missing something or what?

My understanding of the way the time works is this:

All games start with 240 hours for each player.
When a play is made, 36 hours are added to the time remaining (up to a maximum of 240).

When time runs out in any game a player has, all games get 24 hours added and a day is removed from the Vacation pool for that player. (Pool starts with 20 days)

Would it be possible to get an indication of the own time remaining in games, when its your opponents turn?

(with a lot of games, it is possible to miss singular games)
I play on week days. If someone moves only every friday evening, that game would count down for me as well, while most of my games I can put back on 240 during the week.
