I'm playing a hex puzzle size 13: 2425616 game, and the person hasn't moved since Dec 28, 2023. How do I resign from the game when they haven't moved?

Your opponent has used up all of their time - the game is only continuing because they're automatically running off their vacation time (5 days max). If you wait 4-5 more days and they still haven't moved, the game will end and you will win.

Occasionally, I've noticed, the system will glitch and award an additional vacation day after all five have been exhausted, but it seems uncommon, so at the most maybe another day on top of that.
But no, to my knowledge there's no way to resign if it's not your turn to move. There is in the new interface games (Chess, Fendo, Tumbleweed, Oceans Eleven), but not Hex.

They haven't moved at all since that time period. And plus, it reset to 8 hours and 4 hours yesterday. I'm trying to say that I haven't been able to play my move since Dec 28, 2023, and when I leave tournaments, it still allows me to play.
12 Jan 2024
To make my message a bit clearer, When I leave a tournament, it will allow me to continue to play the game even though I'm not in Hex 13. Has that been an issue with hex?
12 Jan 2024
As I see, the last move was 2023-12-31 19:01

@Kalabas. Even though I'm not in the tournament, hex 13. But I left because the person wasn't playing. To clarify, it's been 11 days since the person last moved. Does that mean I automatically win that game?
13 Jan 2024
You will win eventually by timeout. Just wait a bit longer, you don't need to do anything.
13 Jan 2024
Sometimes you get players that join some games, then never come back. It look like that may be the case here, so you will win the game eventually, unless he logs in and makes a move...but when you do win on time, the game will be unrated because only two moves have been played
13 Jan 2024
Thank you. So even though I'm no longer in the tournament, I win automatically?
14 Jan 2024
It's been more than five days since they moved last. Also, Maybe Hex should allow players to resign when it's not their turn.
15 Jan 2024
I'm not sure I understand why you want to resign when you can just wait for a win.
15 Jan 2024
What I mean by resign is that the player hasn't moved in over 5 days. Plus, I'm not in the tournament hex 13.

Question: How did blacks win if whites had more prisoners? Isn't the whole point of the game that whoever has the most prisoners wins?enter image description here
What are the rules of go size?

How does black win if white has more prisoners?

O think black has more prisoners in that game. But that is NOT the goal of the game in go. Here's a youtube playlist that is pretty good in explaining: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4DLlaT_bvDG5y6WSfXU8cQsTsb4o3YnT

Even if prisoners were the goal, black could play on to get over a dozen more by finishing off the white group in the upper right.
Also, you can't link to a file on your computer if you want to display it here. Instead, upload the image to a site like Imgur first; then link to its online location (Starting with 'http:') here. I don't think you even need to make an account to do so.

Thank you I will watch the video.

Nkuperman, why do you want to resign that hex game?
22 Jan 2024
At this point, it really makes no sense that the Hex 13 game is still going. Even assuming counting down from 240 hours and with 5 vacation days, Chappm should have lost on time at least six days ago, but it says they're on vacation still, meaning the server has failed to check for sufficient vacation days at least six times in a row.
What's odd, though, is in that time I've had people lose on time in games against me, so it must be malfunctioning only some of the time. Regardless, I've let Richard know, because you're probably not the only one this is affecting.

I apologize. There was a software error in the calculation of the number of vacation days. It will be corrected today.

Hi there! I wanted to raise an issue I'm experiencing with the Hex Games tournament. I noticed that a player named @Greck could continue playing even though they weren't active for a long time. Additionally, when I removed myself from the tournament, I could still play in certain hex games like hex 11, 13, and 15. Even though I won both games against players named Chappm and OhmsLaw, the games were rated as unrated, which didn't move me up the ranking. The same thing happened with OhmsLaw's hex 11 and 13 games. Can you help me understand why this is happening?

I checked those games and found nothing strange. They lost on time.
And because not even two moves were made, the games were unrated. As always.
Furthermore, I would suggest to not report different "issues" in the same post, as it's confusing.

oh, the impatience of new players these days.
this is not a real time game server, it's a turn based one.
sometimes games take long to finish, even years ;)

When leaving the ladder tournament, you don't get any new games, but your current games keep going. Even if their result doesn't determine your place in the ladder, it does determine that for your opponent.
And even if you both were leaving, it wouldn't be fair if a losing player whose opponent is leaving could nullify a game just by leaving the ladder as well.
