I have designed a 2 player Abstract Strategy game called Monuments, and I am looking for feedback from playtesters (and/or people kind enough to review the rulebook) so I can further develop the game.
Monuments is a 2 player game, where you strategically place your Stones onto a hex grid, making Formations to build Monuments. Each Monument is a step closer to victory and can also block your opponent.
How important is it that the colors are blue and yellow? The yellow color on a white background is rather non-contrasting. If a person does not have very good eyesight (like me), then the small images of yellow formations blur. It was quite difficult for me to view the images in the rulebook on my 14-inch laptop.
Red and blue, for example, are contrasting both in relation to each other and in relation to the white background.
Hi Rickyfourtytwo,
I'm not seeing a difference in your two sentences.
I'll assume one is a typo.
Thank you.
Hi Kalabas,
The Blue and Yellow colours are not important enough to keep if they hinder visibility/ usability.
I’ll update it soon.
Thank for the feedback.
My main two questions to develop our:
1. How much of an advantage does the first player have?
2. Is the hierarchy to the Monuments in the correct order?
