Hi everyone,
It’s with a heavy heart that I share some sad news: Ray Garrison has passed away. His wife reached out to let me know.
Ray has been part of our server since September 2005. In that time, he played 12000 games with us and won 23 championships in various games. But more than the numbers, Ray brought genuine enthusiasm, warmth, and good sportsmanship to our tables. He helped make this community what it is. He wrote to me at least once a month with various suggestions and ideas.
Rest in peace, Ray. You’ll be missed. ❤️

I wonder why his games are runnig out of time. I hope he's now playing in a heavenly league. Rest in peace Ray!

Ray will remain for many the true "Monster of Little Golem", winning both editions of the epic tournament. This is why he called himself the "Monster from Hell" in reference to Hell, Michigan where he lived. It's been an honor playing with you Ray!

I keep hoping I read this wrong, but it always reads the same.
Getting crushed at games won't be the same without you being part of it, Ray. I'll miss you.

Few days ago I sent him a message asking whether everything is ok and I'm so sorry to hear that is not the case. Apart from obviously being a great player, he was truly great conversation partner, willing to share his insights. Without him it will not be the same.

What a sad day for the whole community... I haven't played many games with him but still I was aware of the impact he made for people here.
In Fendo, he pushed the whole game ahead. And I can easily believe he did the same for other games and their communities, too.
Rest in peace, Ray, you'll be missed.

Yes good player, played him at catchup a dozen times, managed just a few wins by somehow linking opposite edges

yes, I also played and chatted a lot with Ray, playing games like Fendo and chatting about games and especially about discgolf. I will really miss him, rest in power !

I have only just seen this sad news. Just recently, I was analysing the Dameo games in which Ray and I played together. I cannot believe what has happened; such a player will be sorely lacking. My sincere condolences to Ray's family and friends.
