Thank you so much, Richard, for this huge improvement. I have to admit, the App is not my best choice. I kept playing on the web; today, I discovered this amazing new interface. Thanks again for your continued improvements.
Yes, it is always some pain in the brain to switch to a new interface, but I am getting convinced that playing in the app is nice ?Thanks for all the improvements Richard!
Thank you for the kind words! I’m working on the dedicated web interface because the app is primarily designed for phones and tablets, and it hasn’t always been an ideal fit for a desktop browser.
My aim is to make /web/ more comfortable to use on a computer while continuing to improve the app for mobile devices. It’s still a work in progress, so your feedback is very welcome!
Thank you again. The new web version is more than impressive to me, especially since it has almost all the features of the old web with a modern look and feel, plus modern technology. My main question is why the game display on the new web is slower than the APP, when I play both on the desktop?
I think the recent changes to LG have been a HUGE improvement, both the web and app versions. Reloading the entire webpage to make one move isn't tenable. The "analyze" feature is also a huge addition I'm not hearing people mention.
I have also noticed a significant lag for loading the games on the web version vs the app.
I would like to suggest modifying the app to show the grid for the game StreetSoccer. For example, in the game https://littlegolem.net/app/#/games/game/2568732, it's hard to know where the boundaries are. If one goalkeeper were to move forward, it would be difficult to tell which goalkeeper moved. Similarly, it's impossible to see how far the players are from the left and right boundaries.
I'll try to enable it in the next version of the app. There was an issue with 1 vs 1 games on the iPad when screen rotation was enabled, because the app would rotate during gameplay. I'll try to make it so that screen rotation is disabled only when playing 1 vs 1.
I searched through "help" and did not find info about the profile link in a game. For example, in my Twixt game against yukiblue there is a 9D top and bottom, but against JJX1 it is 9D for me and 4D for JJ. What does the 9D and 4D signify?
I noticed that one can also -- since the web version appears to be a PWA -- choose "Add to Home Screen" in Safari, thus installing the web version as an app on mobile (e.g. iPad, etc.). It seems to work quite well.
Thanks again for the new design and all the work it required.
I have one question/request:
Right now, when I leave the “My games” page open and there is a new game I need to play on, the counter besides the “My games” title updates and show that I have a game to attend. However, that game is not shown in the “Your turn” list and I need to refresh the page.
Would it be possible to have the games move automatically to the “Your turn” list?
Thanks for pointing this out! The “My games” lists now update automatically, including moving games into “Your turn.” Please refresh the page once to load the fix; updates will happen automatically after that.
