How can I cancel a game offer, I 've posted myself some time ago in the waiting room?
Will my unanswered game offer stay there forever? Or is it automatically deleted after e.g. 20 days, if it remains unanswered?

If you like, Frank, I will accept the game, and we can both quit. I believe that they are unrated, so there is no harm, no foul...

Well, I tried and got this message:
"Your rating (1500) is not in request range". Maybe someone else can help you out. Sorry

I think, this is a missing functionality.
It should be possible to remove the own request from the waiting room (similiar as it is possible to unregister from a tournament).
It should also be possible to delete an unrated game in the first moves.

Huh? Why do you think you should be able to delete a game in the first few moves?
As I see it that wouldn't be fair to your opponent. Just think about when playing a game in real life. You play a few moves against your friend, and then all of a sudden you decide to do something else. How would that your friend feel?

It's usual at ItsYourTurn, e.g.
Of course, that shouldn't be a means to shut down the game without the agreement of your opponent.
But sometimes it happens, that someone posted a game in the waiting room, you start the game, but the "opponent" would never make a move, usually someone just trying this site for a few hours and never visit it again.
You would have to wait for 10+20 days until the game vanishes from your list, with a win for you, of course, but is that really a win?
At ItsYourTurn it's also usual, that games with less than 5 moves are automatically deleted from the list of finished games.
So I think, a game becomes a game just after a few moves.
That doesn't apply to rated games, although this problem occures there as well.
