Xiangqi (chinese Chess) is a very popular game.

On "based site", we find it only on IYT.

It would have so all the place on Little Golem.

Why SHOUT ib this quiet place:)

And why are you so desperate to get games here thatcan be played elsewhere? I would be much happier if some rare games are introduced here.

Personally, I've only seen Xianqi (chinese chess) available for play over the internet on one other site. I think it would probably make a very good addition to LittleGollum. Shogi (Japanese chess) might be another good one, come to think of it. I haven't had time to try to learn that one yet, but I might if it were readily available.

:)

He's right, though. There's no need to shout (typing in all caps is considered shouting, and usually held to be rude).

Yes, I would love to see Xiangqi on this site. Actually I think it is one of those "rare" games which is being played by millions and millions (in China). There are really not many sites where you can play Xiangqi, e.g on the www.xiangqi.org one can read "Come back soon, we are in the process of publishing all of the xiangqi.com source code so that other people can setup their own servers and online communities for xiangqi. We will put links to all running xiangqi servers from this website." This has been there for "ages". And even if it is possible to play Xiangqi on other sites, that should not stop Little Golem for adding this wonderful game. I mean, you can in fact play Chess or Go at other sites too, don't you?

So, let's hope for Xiangqi on Little Golem, which would make the site even more glittering and precious than it already is today.

I would welcome Xiangqi as well, but I would prefer other games here first. I have never tried Shogi, but I am sure I would try to learn it is it was introduced here.

@Karen

CAPS actually ARE, by common agreement in most internet forums, a symbol for shouting. Using them is seen as not very polite by many people. So please stay polite and write in normla letters.

By the way: Is English your mother tongue? Your typing and grammar are pretty poor for West Virginia.

@topic

I think Xiangqi and Shogi indeed are rare games for internet game servers.

Greetings,

Oyamaneko
