turnwise shogi?

Hi everybody!

Is there a server where I can play shogi? I'm NOT looking for a real-time game, just turn-wiselike on this server.

Greetings,

Oyamaneko

Hope this site will have shogi some day... :)

Messages the manager, for shogi!

If there's really no site for turnwise shogi in the whole internet, I hope it will be on this site very soon. It would be a great possibility for getting more players registered here.

Richard's Play-By-eMail Server supports standard shogi, and four variants. Its URL is

http://www.gamerz.net/pbmserv/.

It is not web-based like this server, but email-based.

Wow,

I thought I was the only one who knew this game...I am up for it.

I'd certainly be interested in Shogi; I've read about it but I haven't played it. Plz include an optional pictogram piece set for those of us who aren't fluent in Japanese :-)

where can i find some piece sets for shogi ?

Shogi sets and a couple books are at Yutopian. All the piece sets there, even the "introductory" pieces, use traditional Japanese ideograms. "Western" pieces, with letters as labels and lines to indicate the directions of movement, used to be available, but I don't know where now. Traditional pieces are beautiful, and not difficult to get used to.

Yutopian used to sell a nice cloth-backed vinyl roll-up board.

Lots of other Shogi questions can be answered here.

I'd love to have shogi here. Xiangxi as well.
