If a player plays first league and makes the necessary result to stay in first league, then does not play in the next championship, is he/she have to start back in the lowest league? ex. I won the first league of the first 4iar championship here. Then I quit playing here and just started back again. I am in Top 10 in rating, when the next 4iar championship starts will I be in first league or last league?
Since you were in 1st league before, it would seem you will have to start over from the bottom. But I recommend you message or email Richard just to be sure.
As you said that you would not play in the championship following the one you played in 1st league, i would say that it would be normal procedure that you start over in the bottomleague. take for instance a real sports championship. A team in the 1st league quits and after one season wants to start again. It starts in the bottom division of his championship.
I think it would be a very good idea that players who of one reason or another would like a break from league play can return later and start again on the same level.
Individual league play cannot really be compared with team leagues. In a team if a player has to leave he will just be replaced by another player and the team continues on the same level.
For an individual person a lot of things can happen. He can be busy with other things and dont have time to play, he can be ill and unable to play, he can just be tired of playing and want a break. It is very hard then to have to start from the bottom again.
So a possibility for a player to take a break and return to the same level in a later tournament would be a very nice option!
or maybe not the same level but the closest one. i mean eg if u were in the 1st league and made a brake then u would be in the 2nd league after signing up again. there could have been some changes while u were absent and some strong players could have appeared. thats why u should prove u're still capable to be in the 1st league. however starting from the bottom is a nonsense for me in this example.
Let's turn things around and take a look from the players, who are committed, that have to go down a division, because someone who played in the topdivision wants to join again after a break of 1 (or more) seasons.
Surely you can't find that fair either, if you don't find it fair that a topdivision-player would have to start again at the bottom.
As frommy point of view : players who take a break for 1 (or more) seasons start again in the bottomdivisions.
Why would a player who is rejoining first league have to push another player down to second? As I see it, this would just mean that there would be one more player in first league.
There can be many very good reasons why someone would like to skip a round of the championship. My vote is that such players retain their league level, so that when they nex join, thy will join at the level which they would have played if they hadn't skipped a round.
In the topic "relegation in championship" in the Streetsoccer forum is stated : leagues will have 19 players, 1-4 will promote, 4-11 will stay in the same league.
This means : someone joins at his last level after a break, someone else gets disadvantaged.
My point of view : If someone has a break from a championship (however justified it will be), he starts in the lowest league, nobody playing a regular season must be disadvantaged.
What about the wild-card rule? I am eligible to start in league 1 because of that. A compromise: a player who skips a round is treated as a new player, starting in the lowest league unless eligible for wild-card.
Not playing in one round can be treated as loosing all games in that round. So this player should at least go down one league. So an easy solutions is: Going down one league for every saeson the player takes a break. In my eyes this would be fair to all sides.
I was Level 1 in Championship 3 (four in a row) and I dropped to Level 3 in Championship 4. I admit I did not do so well in Championship 3, but I am a top 10 player. I don't think I deserved to drop 2 levels.
