Why are we allowed to register in more then one group in the 'Monthly Cup'. This way one person could join all groups and, by winning most hinder almost all the others to advance to next round. And what happens then, does all those games and in a draw? Or is it up to the player wich one is to win? Or does he only promote once? It doesn't make sense whatever.

I don't agree that it doesn't make sense either. I see a dozen of ways to get out of the trouble actually.......
The question is what the webmaster will do, in which case. For instance if somebody wins 2 out of 8 MC first rounds, he probably plays both 2nd round robins of 4, and if he wins them both wins the MC.......
Q1 What happens exactly if somebody gets in a 2 out of 3 situation?
Q2 Can someone get in the same robin twice, and what happens?
Q3 Is it possible to put up rules for that kind of situations?
I totally agree with you Magnus, why should anyone actually want to enter the same Tourni more than once!!
There must be some way of monitoring sign ups for these tournies, and prevent this from happening!!
I made a mistake, i thought each time u entered a monthly cup each group was in no way connected to another.! I now no that this is not the case... So in the very unlikely event i progress in june group 1 + 2 - would i possibly "meet myself" in a later round.???
I still don't see why it shouldn't be possible to sign up in the same tourney twice. I agree that there is a problem with future rounds when people go through more then once, but that problem has defiently different good solutions. It is not like it is impossible. However I agree that it should be explained asap on this website how the webmaster intends to solve the problem. I don't like the tactics of solving the different situations when they occur.
It´s already happened. In Mars monthly cup for go 9x9, Richard himself has won 2 groups. So they are only seven players in round two (instead of eight)
This system of monthly cup (where in first round can play one player in several groups) is system from ICCF (Corr. Chess) for similar tournaments. This is only for first round ! In second (and next) round, you can play only in one ! group.
