I'm getting an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException when I'm trying to view the game 1279450 (Tournament: ut.chess.300.1.2).
It's my turn and I can't even see the starting position. :P

I can see the game when I'm logged off, but the problem is still there when I log in again.
"Exception:java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 8"

try again, I see it correctly...

I can see it logged, so the problem is somehow in your account :( strange....

In this game, I'm gettig a similar error:
'Error on this page
Exception:java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 8'
My error appears when I try to send a move

I recommend to send a message to Richard. Otherwise you have ot wait until he finds that post

both against the same player? and only throws an error when logged as the player in turn?
Maybe there's something wrong in the "message box"...

well if its easy to do, I would try from another computer, just to verify.
But there was another post about a whole tournament where all the games gave that error for everybody, and I got it too. So something is off on the server.

I got the same error using two different computers.
Since I can't even resign, eventually I will lose the game by time, but before that LG uses automatically all of my vacation days for 2011. :-D

no, Richard will fix it before that. Just get it to him. Down below is a link 'Message to Webmaster'. Or just mail to his player ID, 'Richard Malaschik'.

I'm getting the same error now in one of my games.

Now I'm getting the error also in this game.

I hope it is OK now. Chess game was only piece of software not written by me and was hard for me create a new version of game based on this code.

Mine worked. I forgot to check it for castling though (no cookie for me...)
30 Dec 2010
both my broken games work now, and I see an option to castle!
I think the 0-0 and 0-0-0 are switched, but I'm not sure, I didn't really read the rules for 960. But even if, it would not be a big deal.

castling on 960 works much similar to regular chess: the final position resulting for the castle is the same, i.e., king in c and rook in d for castle in queenside O-0-0; king in g and rook in f for castle in kingside 0-0; king and rook can only go over each other.
