I invent a new chess variant (I have no name for it) with a lot of subvariants. Rules for subvariant Big army:
Game components: board 9x9, two kings, five queens, five bishops, five knights, five rooks, 17 pawns, 200 chips, 1 special start chip, 1 special draw chips. All stones are two colors (one side is black second is white).
Start game: white king on e1, black king on e9, white has start chip, black has draw chip, every player has 100 chips.
First phase is auction phase. Player on move couldbuy some stones and could put this stones on board. During first phase players put on field chips and stone on top of chips. Stone could be put on first four rows of board (rook and queen cannot be put on e column). Special chips are subjects of auction too.
When both players passed, second phase of game start. Game start player who has start chip.
Game is played as chess with simpler rules: no castling, no special first move for pawn, no en passant, stalemate is considered as mat.
Game finished in draw is won for player with special draw chip.
There could be a lot of variants on board 9x9,7x7,5x5,with new pieces (for example marshall from Grand Chess etc.).
Image show situation after first phase. Variant where everybody has 50 chips and where is only 9 pieces.
