If you move your player (that is next to the ball) outsides of the playing area (outside of the yellow lines, the opponent will be forced to open up the lines.

I meant outside of the white lines ;)

Seems moving players into positions like this are a bit of a joy killing ploy but rules are rules ☹️
I myself have refused to play like this when I have had the opportunity but I may need to rethink this.
