@lazyplayer: there was an LG user who created his own website to play Hex recently. I think we could ask him or help him to implement 39x39 so that we can play finally :D
Iguser, 19x19 is probably more easily unbalanced, in the sense that, one player can gain a huge advantage and convert it into a win even with crappy play... but on the other hand, if the game is truly balanced, if both player are truly playing very good moves, then it's insanely complex.
I run the amecy site. If a few of you are interested, I can start a big-board Hex tournament. Tell me which size you want.
@lazyplayer: I'm open to suggestions for improving the site. The navigation pages are rather utilitarian, but I have tried to make the game boards look nice.
i believe that for big board sizes it is important to have support for mouse wheel scroll zooming, also scrolling through game history should not require a page reload everytime you click to another turn
on amecygames, there is a problem at least in the big board sizes that you cant see the move history and links in the same page as the board itself without having to zoom out too far with much empty space on the page, because it is situated too low on the page
@lguser: Yeah, you make good points. I'll add them to my to-do list. For a quick fix, I think I can easily add buttons to scroll through the moves, like the buttons that LG uses.
