Twixt

Hello.

If anyone here is a member of Richard's Play by Email server and interested in a game of twixt on a large board, please challenge me :) My handle there is also syoku. If you're much higher or lower rated than I am, feel free to handicap the game. I only have experience on 24x24 here at little golem, so I'm curious about what it's like to play a larger grid.

Cheers!

No one?

I'll take any size board greater than 24x24. Surely someone must be interested!

syoku, my handle there is chmeee with 3 e's. Please use the Twixt challenge page to challenge me to whatever size game you want. I recommend a large handicap. Make sure you move first, and the handicap is for the first player.

It is possible to play 36x36 Twixt in real time on the Net if both players have the commercial software "Zillions of Games." They can also play diagonal Twixt. But I don't recommend you shell out the money just for that.

Thanks David! If the board is 36x36 (before handicapping), I have no idea what a large handicap would be. Six rows? More?

would it be possible for 36x36 twixt board be added to littlegolem?

syoku, I sent you two challenges, game 1767 and 1768. 1767 was an error, sorry. If you resign that game instead of moving, it will cease to exist and you will not lose any rating points.

Thanks David!

This will be the first time I've played without the analysis tool. Yikes

Well, you can play out variations on the gamerz gui, but it's slower.

Aaron C, I think I've seen requests for larger boards on this forum. I think it's unlikely to be implemented.
