Anyone knows this player ?

He plays TwixT until 1 1/2 month ago and was 1900. Only 2 defeats, maybe more quickly as Czismadia.

Congrats to this new dangerous player !

It isn't necessarily meaningful to compare players like that. The first 400 points over 1500 is a lot easier than the next 400. I think much of the first few hundred points comes from grasping general principles, and then you hit a wall where you need to recognize many patterns, and their subtle variations.

That said, Samdakota has just gone 1-0 against Klaus, our new Champ, in game 1348895. How many people were ever 1-0 against Klaus? Not me. Not Maciej. Not Gyorgy. Okay, I can't resist answering my own question. Of the 310 people who have played against Klaus, only 7 have gone 1-0 (Samdakota, Kd Hoffman, Hartmut, korubko, Spirit, Stephen Silver, and Andy Olsen.)

Well...my Excel spreadsheet numbers are fun to watch. You can play with numbers/averages/percentages, etc, until the cows come home (as they do here). Klaus has played 1,839 games and Samdakota has played 120 games so the overall comparative data is skewed and thus not relevant at this point. (Like the Presidential political polling in the USA).

But again as an observer, the more significant stat is 1 loss/1 win.

Klaus has been marinating in the upper level status for years and Samdakota has been working up the ladder and just arrived. Anyway, he's one tough hombre.. but then at my level and 84 games, I'm thinking of changing my name from iwin to ilose...

And on a different note.. how are so many of you players capable of playing so many games at the same time??? Please advise...?

@iwin- First, become unemployed. Second, have no life outside littlegolem. At one time i had close to 300 games in progress. I have seen other players with 500-600 games at a time

Never heard of this player before and had a look at the game. He certainly didn't play bad, but he mainly won because Klaus made a mistake, with 26. D16 Klaus could win.

Welcome to the Top 10, Samdakota, and also Pierre Tuloup!

Sam and Pierre have gotten there in pretty much the same number of games - only about 140.

Sam played those games in just over five months, and Pierre took his time: over five and a half years.

The "Full List" seems to be using different exclusion criteria, though. It puts Pierre and Sam in the #12 and #13 slots, because it still includes Gyorgy, korubko, and Loren. Anyone know why? It's not a complete history; Pit and Snoopy are long gone.

@ Alan- Could it be a time thing? If a player has not logged into their profile for x amount of time, could their profile be declared inactive and removed?

This guy stays for me the big surprise of this year. At moment, we are at similar level (+- 2160), and i'm interesting to have any comment to this game (WARNING : it is not over for moment) : 1370153

It is clearly the most interesting TwixT game i ever played, and i would be interesting (after the end of the game) to have any comments on different moments of the game.

Continuing the Klaus stat: for about 43 hours, between 28 Sep and 30 Sep, Samdakota was 2-0 against Klaus. Only korubko had a better start (3-0). He also scored an "upset" against Csaba earlier today in Championship 29, but is still a long shot, not in complete control of his fate anymore, with 2 losses.

Clearly, it's a very good player. This agressive game style is not common (i think only maraca plays so agressive). I continue to think he can reach a very good level. I think (but i'm not sure) he is very intuitive and he looses any games for this reason.

Aggressive...? I find many players elegantly move around the board like ballet dancers. On the other hand, a game with this guy is like a shoot-out in the middle of the street at high noon!
