The official world championship took place at the annual Mind Sports Olympiad (www.msoworld.com) on August 18th 2014.There were 6 players representing (if memory serves):* England* France* Norway
The tournament was played as an all-play-all over 5 rounds with 20 min per player. This was perhaps a little quicker then optimal, but resulted in some high quality encounters. Sadly, games were not recorded but the organisers hope to record the top or top two boards next year.
The results were:G Florian Jamain (France)
S Jan Haugland (Norway)
B Bharat Thakrar (England)
Congratulations to Florian! While there were no prizes for the event this year, the organisers have committed to a prize fund for next year, so hope to see many players for the event next year.
Does 'left to right' mean 'left to right' on the 1st board, then 'left to right' on the 2nd board, and then 'left to right' on the rear board, or rather, does it mean the three players on the left side of the tables, from foreground to background, followed by the three players on the right side of the tables (from background to foreground)??? ( (: - ( )(meow)
It means the three players on the left side of the tables, from foreground to background, followed by the three players on the right side of the tables (from background to foreground) :-) Also note that you can navigate through more pictures there.
