The Mind Sports Olympiad starts shortly in London, see www.msoworld.com. There are some exciting Gomoku/Renju events which may be of interest...all with prizes (a first for many years):
Gomoku, Thursday, Aug 21 @ 14:00-18:00
- 6 rounds with 10 minute time control and a 10 second increment per move
- Opening rule is swap2
- prizes are Gold medal £50, Silver £30, and Bronze £20
Renju, Thursday, Aug 21 @ 19:00-22:30
- not sure of rounds or time control, but expect to be similar to Gomoku (above)
- prizes are Gold medal £40, Silver £20, and Bronze £10
Hopefully some players from Little Golem will be able to make it. Results will be posted on the website.
