damn oski is a word game? Also poorly advertised would have been nice to know about the championship in the upcoming championships thread!!

I'm not sure for how long the game was 'upcoming': I've seen Ray's post yesterday, and the same day the championship started.

RoRoRo replied: Prediction request denied. FatPhil will have access to the precise reason. I guess I'm not authorized to request fora predictions

As the ratings are currently meaningless, the predictions will be meaningless.

However, it will be a nice short championship, and people seem to be signing up for games, so hoppefully some separation of ratings will occur for #2.

(But yes, you didn't have permissions, but now you do.)

so what decides on whether someone is included in the championships? I just saw this thread, but I was one of the first to register. also when does the next one start?

@somar96: the Championship started about 8 hours after the new game was installed. Anybody could register during that period. However, as it was not obvious, and previously unknown that the game would be there (and some people tend to sleep during those 8 hours, depending on where on the word they live), a lot of potential players missed it. Me included. I went online about thirty minutes before it started, but I first made all my moves (as always) and then read the forums. The championship had started a minute before I found it... :-/

When I registered, it was something like "8 participants". But I guess it was the 8 AFTER that one had started, not the first 8...

So when is the next one?

Yes. We'll have to wait a few months because we were late a few hours or even less...
